Inktober 2018

I decided to participate in Inktober last year, and it was one of the most rewarding challenges that I’ve ever participated in. I’ve never had to consistently produce pen drawings on a daily basis, let alone to a series of prompts. Inktober taught me about the value of research and sketching as much as crosshatching and choosing the right pen, and I really grew as an artist that month.

These are a selection of my finished pieces that I feel displays how I grew as an artist. For the whole challenge, I tried to vary my style of pen work (from stippling to line work and everything in between).
